		<description>Smaller teams of developers also tend to do better because they have a greater sense of ownership over the project / product.  It certainly feels better to have developed a huge part of an application, rather than being able to say you wrote some boring underlying function buried in the code somewhere.

To add to your thought, I also believe that in a small team, the developers tie a lot of their own credibility in with the project. I.E., if the project fails or sucks because of crappy code, they will (and probably should) feel like inept developers.</description>
